Welcoming the  new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020  approved by the Union Cabinet,  Prime Minister Narendra Modi  said that the policy is based on the pillars of "access, equity, quality, affordability, accountability" In a series of tweets, PM said , "  NEP 2020  will be remembered as a shining example of participation." Y ear after year, the biggest state in the northeastern region, Assam, is ravaged by floods. Also, Brahmaputra is the largest water carrying river of India and the second-largest silt carrying river in the world.  The Brahmaputra, a trans-boundary river and among the mightiest rivers in Asia, is unstable in its entire reach in Assam except for a few places.
